Testing

Testing took 48 hours. The first 24 hours were used to test the control (tap water). The next 24 hours using the dirtiest water we could fine (Virginia Tech duck pond water) and seeing if the device can purify the contaminants. Every two hours a volunteer would check for outside temperature, humidity, and how much water was collected.

We observed extensive rainfall during this weekend of testing and low temperatures. However, condensation was still being observed throughout the nights.

*Due to extensive traveling and storage of this device prior to testing, the original string connections lost grip and we used duck tape as a quick method in tightening the plastic. Should the plastic not be tightly stretched, duck tape is a good method to fix.
